Your Questions, Answered
Programs
-
We run small-group on-ice and off-ice development sessions, team training programs, and mental preparation / public speaking workshops. Every program blends technical skill work with physical conditioning and mental toughness, so players grow as athletes and as people, not just as skaters.
-
Sessions are high tempo and built around skating technique, puck control, positioning, and game strategy. Our Spring High Performance sessions, for example, focus on skating, skill execution, and competitive 3v3 play, with reps kept high by capping group size.
-
Yes. Off-ice work covers strength building, mobility, injury prevention, and conditioning, along with proper warm-up and stretching habits. It's designed to build the physical foundation that supports everything a player does on the ice.
-
Our mental prep workshops teach players how to manage pressure, stay focused, and compete with confidence. We also run public speaking sessions to help athletes build communication and leadership skills that carry over both on and off the ice.
-
Yes. We work with full teams to build cohesion, communication, and on-ice strategy, helping the group develop positioning and unit play in a competitive but supportive environment.
-
Private lessons are available alongside our group sessions. Reach out directly so we can talk through your player's goals and find the right fit.
Who’s It’s For
-
Programs are built for players of all skill levels. Our Spring High Performance sessions are specifically for U11–U14 travel players, while other sessions and private lessons are open more broadly. Contact us to confirm the right group for your player's age and level.
-
No matter your age or experience, we welcome you to join and grow together. Some sessions, like the Spring High Performance program, are restricted to travel players, but many of our offerings are open more broadly, so reach out and we'll point you to the right option.
Logistics & Pricing
-
Our current High Performance Spring sessions run at the Hunt Training Centre, 200 St Arnaud St, Amherstburg.
Location can vary by program, so confirm the venue for your specific session when you register.
-
Pricing depends on the program. As an example, our Spring Skating & Skills / Competitive 3v3 series (8 sessions) is $500.
For current pricing on shooting & skills sessions, private lessons, or team training, check the “Register” section or contact us directly.
-
Group sizes are kept small on purpose. Our Spring sessions, for example, are limited to 12 skaters (including 2 goalies) so every player gets more reps and more direct coaching feedback.

About The Coach
-
Snow Hockey Training was founded by Coach Aaron Snow, who grew up in Windsor and was drafted 23rd overall in the OHL and 90th overall in the NHL.
He trained alongside world-class athletes, coaches, and performance teams before bringing that experience home to coach in the community he grew up in.
-
We see hockey as more than goals and stats — it's a platform for building confident, driven, well-rounded people.
Training combines technical skill, powerful skating, and mental preparation, with an emphasis on body positioning and purposeful movement. It's not about being perfect, it's about progress, confidence, and habits that last.
